when it comes to the chemistry of love, I think those are the main points to consider astrologically, i figured out (from the most important, to the least) (i am not an astrologer but these are my past experiences)
1) male's mars and female's venus must be compatible (match if possible)
2) female's mars and male's venus must be compatible (match if possible). but this puts the female into the whole area of action. e.g. the female would be the one who first proposes or who first falls in love. that is male runs, female catches.

As you see sun sign is not the most important thing when it comes to dating.
so dont worry if a person u are attracted to is born on an uncompatible sign. Your Mars-Venus combination is the most significant thing.
