Talk about emotional! Phew! Thank God I have a cheery, jubilant Leo Moon to balance out the water works.
Anyway, just sayin' WASSUP!

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Mon, June 12, 2006 - 8:21 AMHi Jeff. Pisces Sun, Leo Rising, Cap/cusp Aq Moon here....... I am also thankful for my Leo influence. Because of it I'm not that stereo-typical quiet Pisces. (I know..I know..there are a lot of us non-quiet types out there).
I see you are in NE, I'm in Iowa. I've noticed that there aren't a lot of mid-westerners here. Unless they are hiding or something.

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Wed, June 14, 2006 - 4:16 PMHi Kim.
Yeah, you are quite right. Everyone here seems so anxious to leave. Which I can understand if you are a person who has lived here all your life. Go out into the world! experience new things!
But I've lived in the big city, and I like it here so much more. Its what suits me best (for now, anyway). To each his own, I guess.
However, if they are hiding in a corn row somewhere; I always loved a good game of hide-n-seek!

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Thu, June 15, 2006 - 4:13 PMLOL... when you said that about hiding in the corn I thought of that old movie "Children of the Corn". -

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Sat, June 17, 2006 - 2:56 PMcreepy movie.... damn that Stephen King (*shaking fist dramatically*)! -

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Sat, June 17, 2006 - 4:26 PMYep, I'm a "city girl" (if you call Des Moines a city) and I remember refusing to go detassle corn with my friends to earn extra money in the summer because of that stupid movie. That and there was some thing about a sighting of Big Foot in the corn...lol. I suppose those stories hold as much water as the ones about cow tipping. -
-
Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Mon, June 19, 2006 - 3:26 PMBig Foot in the corn?!...
I think its time for a change of locale...
Somewhere with a lot of cows. They're just too funny when they fall over... don't worry, that's just my sadistic scorpio side talking. -

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Tue, June 20, 2006 - 8:09 PMROFLMAO.... I could almost see you invisioning me being aghast at the humor directed towards poor defenseless bovines... Actually, I do live in the middle of nowhere with lots of cows around now. I can't say as I like it all that much, but I don't ever worry about Big Foot and other than cow tipping, the crime rate is low. -
-
Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Thu, June 22, 2006 - 3:50 PMWell, I have to direct the humor somewhere... And cows are such good sports.
... And I can't imagine Big Foot having a great sense of humor. Unless he's just been playin' a really long game of hide 'n' seek all these years.
...Who knows, maybe he's just playin' hard to get.

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Tue, July 11, 2006 - 9:14 PMHah! I actually am a graphic artist who still takes ritalin for ADD. Freaky that you knew that from my chart. I'm probobly not intense though. Some people find me intimidating, though I'm not certain why since I'm only 125lbs even with lifting weights and high protien diet. I shouldn't jump to the conclusion that they find me intimidating on a physical level. Maybe I intimidate them mentally. -
-
Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Sat, July 15, 2006 - 12:51 PMUnderstood. A lot of people do find me very intimidating. I am a large man with an intensity of aura that seems to scare most people, mainly women. I find it somewhat comical when I am walking down the street in one direction and a female is walking towards me in the opposite direction. The look on their faces is always the same. If I could put it into words it would read: oh shit... They then look for the easiest way to avoid me, by taking a wide berth around me or even quickly darting to the other side of the street.
This used to get me down quite a bit. But now I just laugh (internally of course). I've turned it into somewhat of a game. I think to myself, "Ok, she's seen me. We've locked eyes. What is she going to do?" And its quite interesting to see the multitude of ways in which they will avoid any sort of contact. From looking at their cell phones, to digging through their purses as they pass, to stopping all together and changing their route entirely. Its actually somewhat flattering to know I can have such an effect on a person who knows nothing about me. Guess thats the scorpio pride. It is kind of fun to see how nervous I can make them with nothing more than a single glance.
But the thruth of the matter is that those who know me well know that there really is nothing to be afraid of. I am very intense, and if needed, I have the ability to call on that intensity and win the battle. But it is extremely rare that I need to call on it, ever. My closest friends know this about me and they know that I do not like to do such a thing, and will avoid it entirely if possible. But they also know that I am not afraid to use it if I am backed into a corner. They give me quite a bit of respect, but also confide a great deal in me.
I have learned to accept that people in general are going to be nervous in my presence, atleast initially. But I find comfort in the fact that the more they get to know me, the more they relax and realize that, yes I am extremely intense and passionate, but I have it well under control.
...hmmm, looks like I needed to vent. -

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Fri, July 21, 2006 - 6:58 PMJeff,
I don't have a commanding physical presence, but I also seem to intimidate people. Especially some men. Pisces men in particular. Maybe that is why I like Scorpios. I don't tend to scare them! LOL.....
Where is your Pluto and your Mars? Mine are conjunct and also trine Jupiter. So, I have been told that makes for some powerful energy that people seem to feel and don't realize it. If they are insecure, they feel intimidated.
I'm sorry that you have had that experience. Do you have some strong Cancer aspects? I was feeling some Cancer emotions there. -
-
Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Mon, July 24, 2006 - 4:01 PMWell...
My mars is in virgo, which seems to give me a sort of nervous energy (underneath the calm outward presence of the scorpio, of course). It also gives me an ability to get things done. I have witnessed this throughout my life. In school, business, work, and many other categories, I have always had a knack for getting many things done in a very short time and without much effort. I am always getting compliments for it, but it just seems natural to me. The only problem is that I sometimes take on too many things at once, which can stress me out if I am not careful.
My pluto is in libra which seems to give me a desire to continually find new ways to relate to those around me. This is true because I have always dreaded those relationships that become stale and boring. Maybe this is why I seem to be coming to the conclusion that marriage, at least in the traditional sense, is not for me. I do want a lasting relationship, and I very much do want to be commited to that one 'special' woman, but it is hard to do with today's social mindset about how relationships are supposed to be. Maybe that is why I continually choose to be single, not wanting to be "pinned" down. I have realized that I need much freedom in my relationships with people, especially women. But, the women in my age group don't seem to agree (lol). I think it because they are young and aren't yet secure in themselves and who they are. They want to control and dominate, which is something I just can't tolerate. I try my hardest to practice balance, the whole give-and-take thing. But, it never fails that a woman I am involved with goes too far and takes advantage of me, and when I call her out on it, she goes ballastic on me, saying that I don't love her and that I am cheating on her, using her, blah blah blah. Of course none of this is true, but society's unintentional brainwashing of these young girls minds just annoys the hell out of me. So, that is usually when things go south (in a bad way). But, I have come to terms with it and realize that in time, my age group will get older and wiser, and then maybe things will get better. But, who knows?
Can't you just hear the violin strings whining? Poor, misunderstood me... waaaaaaa. I just got the sudden urge for some cheese... -

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Tue, July 25, 2006 - 8:30 PMLOL... well.. before I left my old job for self employment it was an office joke about how I could go into "hyper-focus" mode and get a months worth of work done in a week. I've always been able to do that. Heck, I have a new website and I've done ALLLL of it myself and I've gotten pretty much all of what I have there done in a month. I did all the photography, designed and made the jewelry, did the editing... yada, yada, brag, brag... I'm pretty proud of it though. Take a peek if you want www.thespiritweaver.com I hope to have it full live by mid August.
As for the independent thing, I hear you there and I don't have a dang thing in Libra. I liked being married, however, just didn't like who I was married to. Some of it was that I am very independent and I think he wanted to be surgically joined at the hip! I need my own time and my own interests or I will go stark raving mad. I have really enjoyed the last 4 years of being single and sometimes wonder if I would be able to be married again. Men are such babies sometimes and seem to think that you have to be within shouting distance all the time. Most seem to want to sit on the couch 5 nights a week and I just can't handle that.
I have often said that a long distance relationship would be good as long as we could get together every couple of weeks. I'm so busy that it isn't like I would be sitting around doing nothing the times I'm not with him. That way I would get my freedom and have something to look forward to. I really have to say, however, that I am into commitment and am UBER-faithful.
I do think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the insecurity factor. I dated this one Pisces guy who was soooo clingy. He lived out of town, but would call in the evenings and just sit on the other end of the phone doing his computer work. I would say something and he would give a small response. Then nothing. So, I would try to get off the phone because I didn't want to just sit there listening to him breath. I said something about it one time and he said that he really didn't like to talk too much. I said that wasn't going to work because I already talk to myself enough as it is! -

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Tue, July 25, 2006 - 8:32 PMOh...Jeff.. Maybe you can appreciate this since we were talking about the rural thing earlier in this thread...
I'm going to a pig show at the 4-H Fair tomorrow. My kids actually show pigs and sheep. I sit there chuckling to myself because I NEVER in a million years would have guessed I would be doing that. When I was dating my now-ex husband he said he used to "show" pigs. I looked at him with the most puzzled look and asked,"What do you show them? Do they do tricks?" LOL.... well, now I know. -

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 5:56 PMNow that is just funny... "Showing" pigs.Though it isn't all that uncommon here, it is Nebraska. I don't think I would be able to do that. I'd only get hungry for some bacon, and that's just not fair to the pigs.
They deserve better than that!

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 5:52 PMWow... I took a peek at your website and I have to say that I am pretty damn impressed (look at you scoring points already). That had to have taken ALOT of work to accomplish, and you did it all by yourself!? And you say there is more to come. I definitely think you have the right to brag about your work. You set out for yourself a major goal, and you met it... and then some. Congratulations... applause.
I do think that I am going to go into business for myself in the future, but I don't think I quite have the knowledge or experience yet to do so. I really want to open a night club/bar or restaurant. I seem to love the night life and all that socializing and fun (who doesn't). But, I have always thrown the best parties, or so my friends say. I also have a favorite restaurant/bar here in town that I frequent quite often. All the bartenders, some of the waitresses, and even the owner know me pretty well (I am suddenly reminded of a classic sitcom...hmmmm). I am always telling them my ideas for the bar-some are serious, but most are just sarcastic jokes. And, you know what? Some of them have actually come to fruition. Look at me... now I'm bragging. LOL.
As for the Libra thing, I don't think it actually has to do with marriage, per se. Libra is about balance and partnerships, but all partnerships. Business to romance, friendship to adversaries. And Pluto is about transformation, meaning I look to transform all those realtionships I am a part of (always for the better, of course). But, I just don't think marriage is necessary. If you love and cherish a person, truly, then why do we need a legal document to tell us so? Marriage seems like it has been established as a type of social success. I understand the wedding thing as a celebration of two peoples love for one another, but it seems like it has become more of a rite of passage, or a ritual to show ones coming of age. Love seems to become less and less the focal point, as profit, social or even monetary, slowly makes its way in. Call me a skeptic, but how else does one explain a divorce rate hovering right around 60%?
LOL for the couch potatoes, though I think I may be slowly turning into one. Not really because I enjoy it, but because I work so much as it is, that by the time I get home all that really tickles my fancy is lounging around and getting as much rest as possible for the coming day. But even that gets old very quickly, and I have to get up and out. I need socialization to keep the insanity at bay, but I need just as much quite time. If I don't recharge my batteries, I get cranky, and no one likes me when I'm cranky. Not even me.
And I do agree on the clingy thing. Why spend so much time together? Absence makes the heart grow fonder, so let the tension build. Things are so much better when you delay instant gratification. The intensity just rises and rises and rises until it just has to let itself out. And there ain't no better feelin' than that!
...And I agree that we men can be babies. I already got one of the best mothers in the world. Why would I want another? Though I do enjoy being pampered every now and again... especially with head massages. I am putty in any woman's hands when it comes to those. Thats when the Leo in me comes out. I can't help but to purrrrr.
As for long distance, I have never had a relationship that falls under that category. I like to see who I am with in person. I don't like long drawn-out phone conversations anyway. The phone is for setting up face-to-face meetings, not divulging your entire life story. The phone takes all the mystery out of the relationship, but only if you let it.
Here's to keeping the mystery alive! Cheers!

Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 7:04 PMThanks for the compliment on my site. It means a lot. It is my baby right now. I have pretty much done ALL of that work in a month. Seriously...lol. I have been in EXTREME hyper-focus mode pretty much 7 days a week on this. (I have Pluto conjunct Mars and Uranus in my 2nd trine Jupiter in my 10th and when I need to get stuff done quickly I can) I actually didn't do much today. I had a massage and that felt great and also met with a personal trainer to get a workout routine extablished. Saturn is breathing down the neck of my Leo Ascendent!
The massage felt great, but this afternoon my neck started killing me and I could barely see straight. I'm going to the chiropractor tommorrow. I'm not sure if she was too tough or what, but I'm whimpering here. I was hit by a car in High School so that area bothers me now and was one of the main reasons I went to get the massage in the first place.
Anyway, I didn't do much of anything today and was starting to feel guilty. So, I reminded myself of how much I have gotten done in a month and how I haven't even taken the weekends off. So, I decided that today is my Saturday! Maybe I should say Sunday because I'll be back at it tomorrow.
On a relationship level I have Venus in my 7th in Aqu. I read somewhere that placements indicates that I love EVERYBODY and have a hard time committing. I don't always agree with that, but I could see it be true.
I think a night club would be fun, but they are a lot of time. Very intensive. I'm doing my business so I can move anywhere I want to and still do my work. -
-
Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Sat, July 29, 2006 - 2:44 PMI love everyone too! And everyone loves my neck massages. They're the best.
Anyway, hope your 'Saturday' was relaxing and lazy. Sounds like you deserve it. Damn Saturn. I have it in the eighth house, that should say alot. -
-
Re: Scorpio Sun Pisces Rising here
Sat, July 29, 2006 - 3:26 PMWell, I'm not relaxing today..sigh. I'm doing battle with my computer. I have Saturn in my 7th, on the cusp of Pisces. Not sure if that is good or not.
I could use a neck massage right about now........ guess I'll settle for some shoulder rolls.
